Sabine Gruber worked for ten years in international program sales at the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation before she switched to production. For four years she was managing director and producer of Golden Girls Film with focus on cinema documentaries. After this she worked as line producer for Amour Fou Vienna with focus on international feature films and as a freelance producer she was responsible for national and international productions.
In 2017 she founded FlairFilm, a film production company for politically, ecologically and socially committed feature, documentary and animation films with that certain touch. Since 2018 she is joined by producer and partner Peter Drössler. FlairFilm combines many years of international experience in development, financing, production and distribution with flair and fairness.
Sabine is producer of EVERYDAY REBELLION (Politiken Audience Award CPH:DOX 2013) and KINDERS (Special Jury Prize Sarajevo Film Festival 2017) by the Riahi Brothers, AFTERMATH by Raphael Barth (FilmFest Hamburg 2014), GLOBAL SHOPPING VILLAGE by Ulli Gladik (Honorable Mention Award International Film Awards Berlin 2015) and KORIDA by Sinisa Vidovic (2016 / CineLink/Work-in-Progress Award Sarajevo Film Festival) as well as Executive Producer of DIE NACHT DER 1000 STUNDEN by Virgil Widrich (Flash Forward Audience Award Busan International Film Festival 2016) She is co-producer of BORN IN EVIN by Maryam Zaree (Compass Perspective Award Berlinale 2019), SOLO by Artemio Benki (Cannes Film Festival 2019), KLEINE GERMANEN by Mohammad Farokhmanesh and Frank Geiger (CPH:DOX 2019) and SCHOOL OF SEDUCTION by Alina Rudnitskaya (CPH:DOX 2019).
Sabine is a graduate of the MEDIA European Post Production Connection EP2C 2010, the EAVE Film Finance Forum 2011, the EAVE Producers Workshop 2017 and the ProPro-Producer Programme 2017.
Peter Drössler studied communication science and sociology at the University of Vienna. He worked as a journalist and editor for various print newspapers. He was a board member and press spokesman of the Austrian environmental organisation GLOBAL 2000 and was involved as an independent PR consultant in numerous projects in the fields of culture, virtual reality and interactive design, amongst others as content producer of PEYOTE’s immersive multimedia installations in the Austrian Expo pavilion in Shanghai 2010, which were awarded the Austrian State Prize Multimedia 2011.
Peter is an expert for special approaches to target groups in film marketing. As managing director of POOOL Filmverleih and later as a freelance marketing specialist (Producer of Marketing & Distribution) he was responsible for a number of theatrical releases of national and international documentaries. In 2014 he changed into production, first as producer and production manager for the production company Metafilm. He then worked as a producer with Kurt Langbein on cinema and television documentaries. Since summer 2018 he is part of FlairFilm as a producer and since 2019 partner of FlairFilm.
Peter is a graduate of the EAVE Marketing Workshop 2018.
