Following its successful world premiere in Hamburg, NO MERCY now has several other exciting festival dates ahead. The film will be screened at the Festival do Rio (Rio de Janeiro) on 2 October, followed two days later by Odessa – a city with which the film has a special connection. The key thesis that director Isa Willinger explores in NO MERCY comes from legendary Ukrainian director Kira Muratova: ‘Women make the tougher films.’ She lived and worked in Odessa from 1961 until her death in 2018.
