A little more than five years after the disastrous explosion in the port of Beirut, TO CLOSE YOUR EYES AND SEE FIRE is now being released in Austrian cinemas as part of the Stadtkino’s New Voices program. Produced by Peter for Golden Girls Film, the film by Nicola von Leffern and Jakob C. Sauer follows four protagonists from Beirut over a period of three years as they cope with the trauma they have suffered—and the complicated everyday life in a dysfunctional city.
